Burning Wheel: The Cells of Graves Pass
The following is an abridged version of Samus the Tongue’s ‘Guide to Y’Sayl’, a primer shared with schoolchildren in Delphino and, to a lesser extent, smaller human settlements. The views and comments are human in nature, and are often not shared by the Elven or Orcen races.
Regarding Y’Sayl: Abridged
When you gaze expectantly beyond the soot-caked windows of your schoolhouse, eyes filled with wonder and heart yearning for adventure, be forwarded that neither will find you here in Y’Sayl. Your station is your home, and your home is your existence, neither of which are of any concern to the forces beyond the gates of mighty Delphino. Like a single point on a barren map, life begins and ends here, with everything else acting as a faint memory of it, or cautious precursor to it. Dream not, children, for these walls contain more than your bones.
